Past Sales - these are paintings that have sold maybe not so recently, but I am still very proud of them and want to display them "for the record"
Five Pines, 30x36", acrylic, with sand and clay on canvas - It has a very high relief in the foreground and is smoother in the background, making effective use of the sand in the foliage on the distant trees. I was unable to finish it before the trees had to be taken out due to pine bark beetles ('98) - I just recently finished it in a bout of nostalgia for the pines (fall 2004).

Small Pine, 20"x16", oil on linen, a magical moment: the sapling coming up beside the larger tree.

Ornamental in Spring, 14x18", oil on canvas, a last look at the chaming fruit trees which were the prediliction of the beavers. Wire mesh saved this one before it was blown down by the wind. The harder I try to keep something nice around here...

The next 2 paintings could almost be pendants, except that they aren't exactly the same size. They are more or less the same view if not the same composition.

Green and Gold - Spring, 22"x28", oil on canvas

Fall Maples, 20"x24", oil and sand on canvas

A thriving population of beavers, strong winds funneled by the shape of the pond and fast growing shrubby maple trees ensure an ever changing shoreline.

SE Corner 14"x18", oil on canvas: a last look at the pines ( that succombed to beetles) painted in delicate, warm glazes
Blooming Maples 14"x18", goache on paper: the first color of spring is the red blooms that seem related in color to the autumn leaves

left- Deep Woods, 16x20", oil on mat board: this is one of my Rorschact compositions departing from some globs of paint on a piece of board that had been used a a palette. Very green.

The Last Day of Summer, 12"x24", oil and sand on board: one of my first sand paintings. It is a little tighter in rendition.

The First Day of Fall, 12"x24", oil and sand on board: a pendant to the one on the left, it has a rougher texture and looser brushwork.

Magic Morning, framed to 16x20", oil on linen mounted on board: this was donated to the Georgia Nurses Association and sold at their benefit auction October 10, 2004.
South Georgia Pond, 24x30", acrylic and sand on canvas. It has a "contra-luce" glow.
Fog Rising, 20x24", oil on canvas
