Mountain Laurel, May 2007

This is such a loose editing - I pared this selection out of thousands of pics. Note they are in chronological order so you follow the blooms from new to ripe over the course of the month of May. Some photos are close up and some, perhaps less successful exposures, testify as to the all over, pervasiveness and thickness of the plants and blooms. It was truly spectacular and I regret my point and shoot approach and am eqipping myself with tripod and filters for next time. There are a few wild azaleas and a trumpet vine thrown in for good measure.
