The Four Seasons

l-r: Summer ('06), Fall ('05), Winter ('07), Spring ('06); 16x20" each
Cycle complete!
My "patrons" bought the fall panel and then commissioned me to do the other seasons to go as an ensemble. The lush greens of summer are obvious as are the autumnal tones of the second panel. There is no snowy winter panel since
it just hasn't happened lately (global warming?). The spring incorpororates an observation I have made about these
trees (maples and sweet gums) which have their seeds embedded in rusty and red "wings" which fall fluttering
like little helicopters when ripe. See reference photo. The coloring of spring is quite similar to fall, but the
quantities of color and the light are very different.
The zoom in and out of the point of view is to show the larger context (winter panel - bare trees seen
in dramatic light at sunset) and the closeup of beautiful red bush).

Cleaned House - my studio is now very neat and clean (for me anyway). See photos
